The Record Centre in Hintonburg is my favorite.

Compact Music - Record Store in Ottawa, ON in The Glebe is excellent too.

Vertigo Records : Ottawa's Premier Record Shop was ok when it was downtown but I haven't checked them since they moved on the other side of the bridge from Lansdowne.

Turning Point Music might be worth a stop.

Legend Records // Ottawa's LARGEST selection of VINYL RECORDS!! is another one but I don't make it there much (they also moved from the location I used to go to).

Are you travelling to Ottawa or is this for someone else?

Flying out on Wednesday with the wife and baby for a week with her family. Not sure exactly where we are gonna be or how much mobility we will have, but figure I should have this information just in case!

Looks like I'm pretty open during that week as well. I have to work on the weekdays, but I can probably escape any time after the late mornings and finish up when I come back.

Once I'm home from work on Monday my wife and I will actually be able to set down and figure out our trip much better than we've been able to up until now - we've had her dad followed by mine with us for just a little shy of two weeks (with a few days crossover), so we've had very little time to discuss or prepare for our impending trip!

Once I'm a little clearer on some of the particulars I'll drop you two a line and see what we might line up.

...and no, I'm not there without you guys - just finally checking out the links above and getting a feel for what's where.
I think The Record Centre may be the "if I can only get to one place" choice that works best with our location - so now I just need to figure out timing. Might be a Monday/Tuesday thing depending on family stuff and hopefully not sleeping the day away like today!

Either Monday or Tuesday is ok for me I think. Tuesday is my daughter’s first day of school, which is a half day, so afternoon if that day.

Doing a museum day with my daughter tomorrow (mint and art gallery) so if you’re in the market area, you can also give me a shout then.
