I had this happen a couple months ago too. I told the guy it would probably take a month to show up and thankfully he went radio silent. I hate dealing with international shipping, it really is a hassle. I'll only do it for friends now.

Curious if you use PirateShip, and if so, did you unlock their Simple Export Rate?
I just did that on my account.

It’s kind of impossible to sell on discogs from here without shipping internationally. I refuse to offer anything other than recorded shipping though, it might make me more expensive but it’s just too much hassle otherwise.

@Hemotep I actually used to ship a lot internationally and I would say like... 25% of my orders were international over 3 years ago. I stopped when covid happened and all these restrictions and stuff was happening. But i decided to open it up again when raiding my collection to sell.

@djdavedk I used shipstation from paypal - it kinda sucks but i got used to it. It's actually my first time using it internationally too but I think what confused the person is it has a relay company or something "Global Post" that it lands in NJ and then they redirect internationally.

@Joe Mac it is expensive as hell. I'm not even sure why some people are willing to pay it. The shipping in this case was $33 in itself. Which does have tracking - is that the same as "recorded?"

Yeah sorry recorded is just what they call tracked. It’s not too bad within Europe but whenever I get an order from the US I really do wonder why they are paying over €20 in shipping.

So wait? They had the tracking information? So could check where it is and get a rough estimate of how long? And still contacted you?
