Absolutely, it's literally miles ahead of the rest. I no longer feel so alone in this.

Homogenic is still my favourite but it’s a close second.

This is the correct answer. Also my #5 all time.

I think those first 4 albums are perfect.

I’ll sit over here by myself in camp Post.

@Lee Newman the thing for me with Post is that it is so inconsistent. There are some tracks that are absolute bangers (Army of Me, Hyperballad, Enjoy, Possibly Maybe Isobel, I Miss You), some of the best tracks she ever recorded, but the rest are just meh for me. As an album, I'd say that either Homogenic or Vespertine are my favorites (haven't decided which one I like better).

I think Homogenic and Vespertine work better as statements and really are the beginning of what she would do long term. BUT THOSE BANGERS BANG!

@Lee Newman Post is my #3 but it was the first album of hers that I really latched onto when I got into Bjork because of those bangers. They're soooo good. Also can't forget "It's Oh So Quiet" and "You Only Live Twice" which for some reason I had that as part of the album when I downloaded an mp3 copy over 10 years ago. I consider it part of the album even though it's not.

@wokeupnew i bloody wish I could forget “It’s Oh So Quiet”. It’s utterly awful, the Yellow Submarine of her oeuvre, AND also every time you mention you like Björk to someone not like us lot you get “not the crazy wan who did that Oh So Quiet song?”

On the other hand Hyperballad is one of those utterly perfect in every way songs that she has a habbit of popping out.

Debut is probably my third favourite Björk album after Homogenic and Vespertine.

It’s Oh So Quiet is amazing. I think Chris Martin wrote that song about @Joe Mac

@wokeupnew I got her debut album when I was 17 and I still have my cd copy from then. It’s scratch to hell but I loved that album and was a fan since then.

While I enjoyed It's Oh So Quiet at first, now I somewhat agree with @Joe Mac....though maybe not as much vitriol.

@Sonicpharmacist it was a pretty big hit here in 1995, got overplayed to hell and has come to signify Björk as an artist to the general public. She can almost end up being dismissed as a novelty act because of it which is utterly infuriating. There is no liking Björk here without having to explain that the entirety of the rest of her music is absolutely nothing like that.
