I gotta do this. But first I have to figure out what's wrong with those 100+ albums and if it's anything that would preclude me from selling them and honestly the thought of it makes me want to walk into traffic.

Record stores dish out $15/per in bulk?!?!?

if anyone's curious I picked up 4 records; The new live Prince album box set, The LITA Nancy Sinatra comp, and some really nice used albums, an original pressing of Sonic Youth's Bad Moon Rising and an original pressing of You're Living All Over Me that lists the artist as "Dinosaur" (as opposed to Dinosaur Jr.).

@Rip_City Yeah, I was surprised mine did. It's the first time I've sold at my local. I did have a few albums in the mix that were on the pricier side and I made a point to let em know. Discogs had the median value of the albums I was trading in right around $3k so I figured 50% of that woulda been ideal. I woulda probably taken anything over a $1,000 but very happy with the $1,500.

@Mather I feel ya, I spent pretty much all last night scrolling over my collection on Discogs, found about 115 to sell and by this morning rolled it back to around 95. Then I took about 4 hours this morning pulling them all off my shelf going through them all to make sure they were good to sell. One added bonus was my cheap ass removed all my MoFi inners and replaced them in their original sleeves.

I've got a couple of monsters too. Worth about $350 each and I don't really want to lose half that value at a local but also I REALLY don't want to deal with cogs and shipping just scares me at that value....

@Mather how much did ya pay for em though? More than likely you’d still come out ahead even if ya only cleared 50% of the currently value plus you never have to worry about them ever again.

That's a possibility. But that's part of my concern with having to go through everything. I really don't want to disappoint anyone on here so I gotta figure out exactly why all of these got moved to the sell pile and oh man it's gunna take forever.

We're already disappointed in you so might as well sell 'em here.
