Space is the place, fireside chat, langquidity and heliocentric worlds are strong points. singles collection is a good place to get a bit of everything though (very varied).

@yukbon has made solid suggestions. Space is the Place (album, not soundtrack) is definitely the most iconic entry point.

I'm quite fond of his small group (trio/quartet) work, particularly God is More Than Love Can Ever Be, New Steps, and the very recently reissued Omniverse.

Of the earlier stuff, before they started playing much more outside, I love Sound of Joy - which was meant to be his 3rd album but wound up shelved for a decade or so.

From the New York years ('61 - '68) when the playing was getting far more outside, Atlantis and The Magic City are pretty indispensable.

On the compilation tip, longtime Arkestra member Marshall Allen curated a great one, as did DJ Gilles Patterson.
