Oh hun, my heart goes out to you and your family. We lost our fur baby in October. She was 16.

Any advice on how to prepare an 8 , 4, and 2 year old ?

Our dog had been sick for months and deteriorated in front of the kids. I think they sort of mourned in slow motion. By the time we went to the vet, they knew that she was struggling and in a lot of pain. We all cried together but we all knew it was time.
