When I ship a package across town, it always takes an initial detour up to Seattle. Funny that they also route things in the opposite direction. Not much adherence to logic or geography. Oh well, hope it makes it to you in good shape.

Don’t ask me, I was talking to the USPS guy when I dropped it off he said it would be cheaper just to drive it up to ya myself but I told him since it was going to Vancouver Island I would have to take a ferry so it’s probably still cheaper to send it.

Oh yeah, the ferries are ridiculously priced. About a $30 USD round trip to walk on, or $150 USD round trip to drive!

Thats from Vancouver anyhow. Dunno what the Port Angeles price is these days. It was $12 USD one-way to walk on 15 years ago when I last took it.

I took the ferry from Victoria to Port Angeles a couple of weeks ago and it was $95 CAD for two people and a vehicle. They had just started the ferry again the week prior. Really enjoyed Vancouver island, especially Tofino.
