I don't myself but one of my friends does and I've heard most of it. Not super audiophile but they sound good!

I got it recently from the udiscover sale for $88 shipped! It was nice to upgrade some of my older ratty copies, and add stuff I did not have Not sure if they are AA or dig transfers tbh but they sound nice Remember the original records were made end of the 60's/early 70's on pretty simple recording gear/home setup. I would wait until the next udiscover sale and grab it there for that price.

@MikeH let me know about the udiscover sale. I also have The 50th Anniversary remixed Brown and Pink albums on digital and thought the remastering was stunning.

@JohnnyCashFan Most of the first records were actually recorded at professional studios in NY and LA, including Capitol Studios. It's not like they're made from the original Big Pink basement home recordings.

Did they @BjorgenFjorgen ? Good to know, I always thought those were overdub sessions ?

@JohnnyCashFan Yep, I understand where the myth comes from but I don't think there's any way they could have gotten that fidelity from home recordings in '68. I'm with you on the remasters; haven't picked up the Brown album yet but the Big Pink is one of my most spun records. History of The Band: The Debut Album
