Make sure you get one compatible with your TT. Mitchell is highly regarded, but it doesn't work with my Pro-Ject for example. I got the OEM Pro-Ject clamp.

It helps flatten a record, the Delrin and weighted clamps decouple the record from the spindle/platter a bit helping isolation to the needle/cart/arm. I use the Michell Reflex on a VPI. @JohnnyCashFan I have an AT-LP5. It’s not the most common of tables so I’m having a hard time figuring out which clamps are compatible with it.

I personally prefer having a weight which I can plop on top easily compared to a clamp

Those perimeter clamps are the only ones that make a lick of sense to me.
