Little Simz is good, but so is the whole of hip hop in 2021

I've been disappointed by a good handful of releases, but there's probably some good stuff I've missed.

Both Alch releases are in contention for AOTY for me, the new Ka is fantastic, Pink Siifu does his best Andre 3000 impression on Gumbo, Navy Blue has put out multiple good albums this year, Backxwash put out a genre blending masterpiece, Muggs has been continuing his hot streak, Pray For Haiti is Mach at the top of his powers....

R.A.P Ferreira is always solid, HWH8 has been on nonstop since it came out, Dave continues to show he's one of the best voices out of the UK, Tyler is rapping again, Conway is always solid, Kenny Masons Angelic Hoodrat is a really good debut, Doom/Czarface is probably the best Doom related album in years, Plugs 2 is solid....

It may not have as many big name headliners(even tho Donda is better than people give it credit), but hip hop is having a very good year imo

Lot of good recs in here. I really enjoyed Haram, but haven't heard his other this year. Enjoyed Tyler also. Thought RAP Ferreira was just ok, liked PMP a LOT more. Didn't LOVE that Mach Hommy either but maybe that's just me. I love KA, and have been waiting for his latest to get on streaming, but I'll check out that Dave, Backxwash and Czarface while I'm at it.
