Damn, how you are ok? Sounds awful.

thankfully we're ok and nothing worse than flooding. lost some nice stuff, but ultimately it's just stuff. my neighbors had it worse with 3 feet of water in their basement. lots of abandoned cars in flooded streets... but it's still nothing compared to how it hit Louisiana

That sucks, I am sorry dude.

Hope everything is good, I'm in Northern NJ and have never seen flooding like this. Areas are completely devastated. Heartbreaking stuff. Thankfully no damage here, but feel for everyone who lost so much.

thanks.. definitely am safe and that's the most important thing. the stuff is just stuff. it wasn't good but could have been much worse. my next door neighbor got over 3ft of water in their basement and lost everything down there. I'm very happy to not have to make any insurance claims/calls

Glad you're alright. We moved to the burbs outside of NYC a few months back and we're out of town at the moment so we panicked a bit after seeing all the pictures. Our neighbor popped to our house and said the flooding didn't seem too bad for us in the basement. Last downpour, we had water gushing over our electrical box but got it fixed right before we left luckily.

@MikeH sorry to hear, but really great that your neighbor was able to check for you. it's so crazy, for Henri I was getting non-stop alerts 3 days in advance.. this one was not even close to being as hyped but hit so much harder. hoping for the best for you and neighbors
