They post a photo of their whole collection entitled "How am I doing?" to r/vinyl. The photo consists primarily of a handful beat up hand-me-down records; AC/DC, Carly Simon, Chicago, etc.. along with a couple $50 Urban Outfitters exclusives. The photo will likely also feature their $40 Suitcase turntable. Bonus points if everything is laid out on an unmade bed and/or includes their feet.

The idea of cleaning records is not only a shocking discovery but also still seems ridiculous.

When the idea of spending more than a couple hundred bucks on a system seems crazy to them.

When they defend the $50 Frank Ocean bootlegs.

Not meant derisively in any case, but an oddly high percentage of unopened/played records by choice. And an unhealthy focus on value/price.
