Is Lyft an option? Uber put me in a car with a dude that made a left turn on a red light in an intersection with multiple “NO TURNS” signs and, THANK GOD, got pulled over immediately. And then got arrested because he didn’t have a driver’s license or proof of insurance or anything. When I contacted Uber about it, they offered me $2.95 as a refund for the fare.

That's appalling. I honestly might start taking cabs. It's about 3 times the price but my work pays so... I feel like I'm taking my life in my hands every time I get in one of these cars... And yes I could take LYFT but I doubt they would be any better.. Honestly I hope they're both banned, the companies are just horrendous.

I’ve used Lyft about 3-5 times a week for the past few years and so far none of those drivers have been arrested while I’ve been in the car but yeah YMMV haha. My only experience with cabs where I live was people begging me for money while I’m trapped in their car, but I’m sure cabs aren’t like that in every city.

Good lord. That's also horrendous. Although yes, I have had cabbies preaching at me in the past. Trying to sell me stuff... Maybe I should get a license. But then how would I afford all the vinyl and gear.
