7/10 Question starts with a bang but the plot fizzles a bit in the middle stanza, however the blockbuster final act really pulls it all together. Would make popcorn and read again.

I have a big problem rating/ranking albums because I see each one as an artistic expression that a person is trying to share with the world. And for that reason alone, I think that all artistic expression has merit. I find that some albums resonate with me more than others, but I hate to presume that the art that strikes my chords would also do the same for you.

I hate telling people they HAVE to like an album, because art is personal and no one is allowed to tell you how to feel about something. I also have a big problem saying that one piece of art is better than another piece of art.

Because maybe it is, but that weird, mangled piece of art that you enjoy, might be just what you need right now. I find ranking to be futile because ultimately art should be enjoyed, not analyzed.

I would imagine that most people would say that Picasso's work is better than the drawings I make in my notepad during when I'm bored in a meeting. My art means something to me -- "I'm BORED!" -- but that probably doesn't resonate with the rest of humanity so much. Thinking about exactly why and how a particular piece of art hits so hard for both me and the "General Public" and how other pieces do not is fun for me.
