I grew up in the 90s and feel like I had pretty solid exposure to the music of the time. I do not remember this song. I also had no one special to make a mixtape for so thanks for opening that old wound. Yeah, I was completely unfamiliar with this band and song also. The singer kinda has shaggy Uncle Tupelo-era Jeff Tweedy look to him.

I thought everyone who came of age in the 90's saw the Romeo & Juliet movie.
For the better part of a year, it's like that soundtrack was the only thing that existed in my high school.

@MadLucas that's true - that movie was huge. I wouldn't have placed it on that soundtrack. But, to be honest, I couldn't place any other songs that were on that soundtrack.
