Drivers in Massachusetts, well, and most places, hate pedestrians. Pedestrians have the right away, but cars don't stop for you if you wait. And if you just walk out they likely will honk or yell at you. Especially in Boston. If you have the walk signal and cars are trying to make a right turn on red, they will try to marge their way through. And if they don't, the car behind them is beeping.
My favorite was playing Pokemon Go with a group of people in Salem. There was a group of 12 or so of us raiding and we were walking to the next gym and had to cross a side street. A car making a right turn into the side street stopped and waved us along to cross.
Then a pickup truck comes to make a left turn while we are crossing and yells out the window to us to put our damn phones down and watch where we are going.
welcome to my everyday life... ever since going back into work (i decided to drive to avoid the subway / public transport with a lot of people) everyday has a moment of road rage.
Here's my week so far for tuesday...
-Yesterday, Driving straight thru an intersection guy coming the other way wants to turn left. I have right of way almost hits me then has the nerve to honk at me.
-Today, Stuck on street traffic - going slow so i leave 1 car space in front of me b/c i'm slowly going. Guy behinds honks at me & me cuts to my right just to cut me off for that space. Congrats, you saved 5 seconds on your trip.
