I have feelings. Big issue is availability as they cycle through fast. I really dig the new salted caramel brownie oreos. Be wary of too bizarre flavors outside of the choclatey sweets realm.

Looking at what's out now, it's chocolate heavy and all of them I feel good on. Smoreos and Chocolate Hazelnut are a big win, Java Chip is solid enough as is Brookie.

My hottest take is that Double Stuff Oreos (and therefore most Oreo variants) are imbalanced. Classic Oreos are king.

That said, I remember Carrot Cake Oreos being shockingly decent.

Lemon Oreos are SO CLOSE to being good. If they’d just go less sweet and more tangy with the filling they’d be great.

I do not eat Oreos often but I remember trying Carrot Cake ones a while back and they were amazing.

@waruv,@kvetcha, and @wokeupnew I’m excited to hear this as I’ve already purchased packages of Salted Caramel Brownie, Java Chip, Chocolate Hazelnut and Carrot Cake Oreos for the potluck this weekend! Excited to try them, haha.

@kvetcha @gouis totally agree that the classics are king. I’ve never liked the double stuf.

The only other varieties that I’ve tried are: Golden (pretty good), red velvet (kind of great), smores (decent), and Lady Gaga (gross - awful texture and they look disgusting).

@RowBearToe I have never tried mint but hope someone else brings those to try.

I think there’s a silent mutual agreement that Oreo thins are bs that are not worth including in the rankings.

Had a friend gain 30 pounds in COVID because her coping mechanism was to house an entire sleeve of double stuffed every evening. Should have just been drinking like the rest of us.

If you want the absolute worst, grab some Swedish Fish Oreos

I always liked the golden oreos. Then I finally had the vanilla Joe-Joes from Trader Joe's and those are infinitely better.


Just bought some Java Chip Oreos though cause curiosity peaked.

The best Oreos are Nutter Butters.

Did anyone try the trolls world tour Oreos that had pop rocks in them? It actually worked. The taste wasn’t any different but it added a literal bang.
