Needles & Grooves

We were gone for a week, just had a neighbor stopping in to feed our cat. Anyway, I was mowing the lawn today and found it…dismembered and spread out over about a 5 foot radius.

We live on a city lot, 55 x 120 or something...houses all around us. I’m trying to figure out what would attack a skunk. I’m assuming a dog at this point but this thing was cleaned to the bone. We saw just fur and bone. We can clearly make out a couple leg bones and the jaw and skull.

Coyote? That's what they do in my neighborhood. It's like the fucking killing fields out here...

@Mather Coyote is possible, although I’m so far from any woods or cover, not sure. Might be some kind of demon. The head was two feet from the body. Seriously, wtf.

Do you at least have mature trees in your hood? If so, maybe a great horned owl. We had a huge one around here a couple years ago and I was burying rabbit and squirrel carcasses like every week

Come to think of it, I DID wake up with a bone woven into my hair this morning. I assumed it was a chicken wing...

Didn't @Indymisanthrope have an issue with mysterious dismembered critter parts in his yard about a year ago.

That wasn't me, I don't even know where he lives.

@TenderLovingKiller® the only mystery in my case was where the possum went after my dog bit its leg off.
