It’s so situational regarding price and what your record contract is.
Typically it’s fractions of a penny per stream which I think is 30 seconds or longer ?
Then Spotify distribution contract.
So maybe 5000 stream of a single song could get you $15

How much does an artist profit from the sale of a single LP?

A LOT. Similarly, it's nuts how someone like Justin Bieber has 75+ millions streams / month. I'm guessing that 500-750K infinite revenue surpasses what he would have done when CDs were popular.

Of course, it only helps out the mega-artists and doesn't make much of a dent for the smaller artists.

Probably an unimaginable number, but from what I know, the margins on vinyl are also razor thin. Not a cheap product to manufacture at all.

The way streaming revenue is placed into a massive pot then divided benefits big acts. If I knew that my monthly fee went fully to the artists/labels I actually listen to (after the streaming service's cut), I'd be a bit more inclined to adopt streaming for more than just testing out new albums.
