(But Mega Mart and Bandcamp purchases will still include downloads.)

On the plus side, everything I’ve gotten from them recently has been pressed at RTI.

Oh, and they emailed me a code to download the album I asked about (Flock of Dimes), so that was nice!

I wonder if this is because streaming has become so ubiquitous many people don't even use their download codes?
Overall, I think it's unfortunate as it's a damn near free value-add to slip one into the record sleeves but I guess if they're becoming superfluous overall I guess it streamlines everything? Still seems a disappointing choice.

I mean, I guess with streaming instead of redeeming you're giving the artist that extra $0.000000000000000000001 every time you listen digital instead of analogue. So there's that.

Ah, I got the new Iron & Wine and was surprised there wasn't a code included, as I'd gotten one for every other Sub Pop release for years. Unfortunate they're moving away from them. May try emailing in, as well.

I'm sure streaming is a big reason, but I only use streaming to test out albums I may want to buy... I guess I'm just old or something.

Me too, old man. Me too. ;)

Thats disappointing. Being rather pricey for shipping to Canada to buy directly from the Mega Mart or Bandcamp, I tend to pick them up at my local. But I like having a FLAC to download as well.

Disappointing. One of the places I listen to music most is in my car. I may be old, but I don’t stream, I burn cds with the download codes.

@Sonicpharmacist just buy from the Sub Pop bandcamp from now on. you'll get better downloads

I think its a good idea bc the Bandcamp model can't be beaten. I'm sure a ton never get used on the card- they are mostly horribly tagged
