How are they progressing?

If you get them to play Damnation songs, I imagine that could be a pretty great Sunday morning soundtrack.

They’re playing along with The Baying of the Hounds, from what I can tell. Normally it’s fine but it’s a bit much so early. However, I have only myself to blame. I don’t think they’ve heard anything on Damnation though I do have the cd. So far it’s just been Ghost Reveries and Blackwater Park.

Those are my two faves, and probably my favourite Opeth song! That's really impressive that they can play along to those records.

Thanks! My 11 yr old it's more of a hobby, but for my 15 year old, playing is his passion. His real talent is picking apart what he's hearing. He'll comment about time signature, song tonality, etc. I hope he decides to make a career out of engineering or producing. My 11 yr old, art is his talent. I love having kids that are artistic, because while I enjoy all arts immensely, I have absolutely zero talent.

Blackwater Park is truly excellent.
