Personally, if an opening track (or the first track after an intro) doesn't do anything to grab me, it usually sets the tone for the rest of the project.

Depends, are the songs not engaging or actively terrible? With the former I'll give it some time, maybe flip through some tracks. Latter, not so much

Depends on if it is a random artist or an artist I know I like. If it's a random recommendation, I will usually do song 1 - see if I like the vibe/style - if not, skip to song 2, repeat.. song 3.. repeat, and then skim the rest.

If it's an artist I know I like, I will give it the benefit of a full album listen and sometimes a few times.

I do what @scotthilk said. I give an artist I like the benefit of the doubt before giving up. Also if it’s something that “I am supposed to like” I give it a couple of listens before shelving it.

If I bought it I give it 2 listens minimum. Sometimes it stays in the bullpen for an extra month so I can spin it a 3rd or 4th time after it has sat with me.

I never buy a record by an unknown artist without at least streaming a full record of theirs

Full listens regardless, if I'm undecided I park it for a week and then go back to it, I'll usually do this twice. If it's not connecting after that, we move on.
