Vashti Bunyan had a bit of a renaissance in the early aughts due to admiration from artists like Devendra Banhart, Joanna Newsom, in the "freak folk" orbit. That's how I heard about her.

Oh dude, Vashti is amazing. Her entire "Just Another Diamond Day" album is a thing of beauty, and her two "comeback" albums (Lookaftering and Heartleap) are also excellent.

I never heard that version. When I used Pandora as my main digital source they'd recommend this version all the time though

How long have DVRs been a thing? Must be approaching 15 years. I don’t think I’ve watched a tv commercial in that time. Well other than for live sport but that’s a depressing bombardment of online bookies/casinos.

@TenderLovingKiller® we don't see American commercials up here. But also yes, with DVR I don't think I've watched a commercial in that time...

I am sure Levis and Apple and Ford and Reebok probably show similar versions of commercials in Canada as they do with the US market though. like they don’t scrub “Train Song” and replace it with “Tom Sawyer” in most instances, right? I live in a border state and we get the CBC here and besides the metric system and weird Canadian brands the commercial content seems pretty similar.
