This is why you go the Squeaky Clean route first. Fire up that huge shop vac a few times and your partner will be more than happy for you to purchase a quieter, more expensive RCM

I just don’t ask at all. I did have to explain how brand new records are not clean and won’t go on my table until they are. I don’t think they were at all convinced, though.
