My old man is getting his first dose next week

We're in a race against the "variant" 3rd wave... probably already too late to stop it, but every little bit will help. We'll hopefully start seeing an effect of our acceleration in vaccinations in 3-4 weeks.

My wife got her first one today as well! I’m so happy!

It pisses me off to no end that my wife is immunocompromised and I'm forced to go to work as essential, and neither of us has a shot, or are likely to get one anytime soon. This province is run by a fucking moron.

It's really ramped up in the span of a few weeks. 10% of the province now has 1 shot. Everyone over 65 can make appointments and health care workers are being called progressively. Next wave is people with various handicaps and disorders I think. I shouldn't be long after - I initially thought may-june, but April may not be crazy, at least to secure an appointment.

I got my first Pfizer today! Arm is a little sore but so far, so good. The wife will have to wait a bit as she isn't "blessed" with being immunocompromised like I am.

My wife is on immunosuppressants and works retail. Her medical condition would put her first in line once phase 3 starts rolling in April. But because we live in an area with fewer cases she probably will have to wait until late May or even June. But good for you guys @Turbo

Oh, I just hope people remember how Coke Machine Dougie botched the vaccine rollout when the election comes in 2022, though I doubt it.

@jamieanderson1968 I actually am in a region where the roll-out is slower because we had lower case incidences (we're getting the starts of a new wave now though). People in Montreal and the surroundings are actually 2 weeks ahead of us. The early decision in QC to delay the 2nd dose was a bit of a gamble but it's paying off.

My wife was saying the vaccination campaign is quite chaotic but somehow people are trudging forward and it's working. We already had an online appointment system in place which I think is what's duck-taping the whole thing together.

Sadly here in ON the registration system (phone and online) has been quite a mess. But its not like they had a year to prepare for a vaccine roll out.
