@tonythegamer it's no big deal. someone expressed that they felt claiming multiple PIFs at once was kind-of against the nature of the thread. People then naturally felt defensive and took some offense -there's been too much back and forth for some people's liking. some good thoughts about how the PIF thread has evolved and whether or not there needs to be more self policing were being talked about

@roger i'm not sure I should answer that but no - i would be very bad at that job.

@jaycee I don’t have a problem with anyone in that thread or in this community. I have been a part of of the PIF thread a few months after Jake(not tagging him) created it. It was a very self maintained system of stuff going in and out and everyone knew their place. As @ThePakoBuelna said, it is the influx of new people that don’t understand how the system works.

@EmeryRK I'm sorry if you read my comment as suggesting that you had a problem with someone - I wasn't. I believe your assessment of the issue. So what's the answer because the new people coming in isn't going to stop and the purpose of that thread is to have as many people involved as possible in spreading good will?

@Dead C had some good points here and there about people putting up dollar store records when claiming more desirable titles and, yes, that makes me weary/annoyed as well. I personally do not care what people PIF or when they do.

As long as they know their ratio and they PIF something like it. No matter the value of the record. I am a prime example of that. I will PIF a MV record and claim a $10 record the next go around. All I care about is the thread and I feel like we’ve had more “discussions” than the enjoyment of PIFing. Some of the talks were needed or a reminder which is good.

Most of the time, I don’t even feel like checking the thread or PIFing because of the past couple of months. It looks like we’re going to have set rules or regulations of this all gets worse. I don’t want rules and I don’t want us chained on what we can or cannot do. I just want everyone to respect the PIF and be happy.

For sure. No perfect system. Ours seems to be close. I’m all for calling out people who are seemingly abusing the system if they are but I haven’t encountered that and have seen other members offer gentle reminders to PIF as they claim.

@jaycee To answer your previous question: If we keep having to have conversations to the new/tenured people, inevitably, someone is going to set ground rules. Then Jake will have to step in(if he hasn’t already saw all this)

@jaycee The good will will just have to take care of itself like it has before(without rules) but, I’m certainly going to focus less on the drama from now on. Mainly focus on getting my PIFs out in the mail faster...

I basically suggested that it might not be cool to to pop up & scoop multiple brand new offers into your jacket all at once, the minute they drop, like you're crashing a wedding buffet. Maybe, leave some for others. Somehow, that's a controversial viewpoint. Hot takes start fires. #themoreyouknow

I’ve stayed out of the drama, intentionally. I’m just gonna say that I have mostly just stayed out of the PIF thread because I have a dearth of records that I’m willing to give up that folks want. I had 3 or 4 records that folks let sit in the old thread so I didn’t even bother with them here.

If you claim high quality records, you need to offer high quality records. Price =/= desireability. I think some ground rules are going to have to be created and pinned to the top of each page of the thread.

Don’t worry, @Chucktshoes those new records you have I’ll happily take off your hands.
