I loved the song and performance - hated the guitar smashing

I enjoyed both performances and I truly don't understand all the negativity and hate on the web

Is there negativity or hate on web? Like I said, I thought (both) songs were great. I didn’t dislike the instrument destruction cause she did it. I just think it is cliched

I haven’t seen others opinions but smashing was a spectacle in the 60s/70s, an excess by the 90s and, IMO, cringe, cliched, and choreographed today

What did I miss / what do I need to check out ASAP?

It certainly felt a little contrived but it didn't bother me in the least however a lot of people, who Im guessing are not fans of hers, thought it was amateurish and unoriginal since its been done so many times before...

@RenegadeMonster she was the musical guest on SNL last night. She smashed a guitar at the end of the 2nd performance.

I'll have to check to see if that performance had made it on to YouTube yet. If not I'm sure I can find SNL on Peacock.

It’s funny after that I was reading about the history of instrument destruction & Matt Bellamy got some “award” for smashing the most guitars on a tour (140) & I just rolled my eyes
