@Hollywood Yes, apparently Public Health recommended a curfew. Supposedly still being debated, but our Premier has generally gone a little further than the recommendations. So I expect it will be the case. Will be tough for the wife, because she stays at work until midnight-1am several times a week to write her files and order the prescriptions.

Did they say how long it will be in place?

Wonder if Onterrible might be much behind. The Shutdown has not done much and the peak from Xmas/New Years is still a week away. They have started to setup generators at the armoury next door to my library to act as a field hospital.

@Hollywood Nothing specific yet... these are just press leaks so far. But press leaks have been solid in the past (probably leaked by the government itself to help soften the blow and take the pulse of the population, so to speak). La Presse was reporting that 8pm or 9pm until morning was being discussed.

To be honest, I expected this when I saw the set of numbers after New Year's. What's surprising to me is that primary schools are staying closed and that certain manufacturing sectors and construction are being shut down too. Their numbers must be extremely scary. Seems like there was a significant amount of rule flouting during the holidays. Sucks for those of us making efforts beyond what is being asked.

50% of Canadians visited friends and family outside of their household over the holidays despite the numbers and the potential to literally kill people with these actions. Because people are selfish as fuck.

Yep, I'm just sick of trying to skirt around it for fear of offending people. My wife is immunocompromised, all these people who are "just seeing a couple people over Christmas" could get her killed. I haven't seen my family in almost a year because I'm trying to keep her safe. Fuck everyone who puts themselves in front of others safety.

Exactly same boat, my wife has MS and she is on immuno-suppressants. Other than 2 trips to Costco in PTBO in the summer I have not left this shithole of a town. The LCBO knows me by name.

Every time I go to the groceries and see someone with their mask under their nose, I now feel the same as if they were wearing their pants at their knees. Thanks for trying there buddy. You almost got it.
