Soooo the term Latinx is used by the younger “woke” generation to be more inclusive. Latino and Latina is still very commonly used, but when talking about the group as the whole, the term Latino can be too misogynistic. Hispanic is a term that white washes the many cultural differences in the Latinx community.

With that being said... I’ve noticed the term “Hispanic” is slowly dissipating from the language and people are preferring Latino and Latina. I have encountered some resistance to Latinx tho, as people see it as unnecessary.

im all for Latinx tho, I use it almost exclusively when referring to group or when I don’t know preferred pronouns. When I do know, I go for Latino or Latina

My opinion on it doesn't matter and so I don't have one, but pretty much all my co-workers are from Spanish-speaking countries and I've never heard/seen any of them use it (but we generally speak Spanish with each other).

It’s not a term that comes up often in my everyday since I’m in such a white area but I like that there’s a non-gendered term to use.

Some would argue in its plural form that ‘Latinos’ by definition includes everyone as it includes the masculine and feminine and why can’t it include non-binary persons too, which linguistically does make sense as an argument, but in terms of equalizing all genders and driving that point home latinx makes more sense.
