I agree, at least 50%. Some of that 50% are better than others, but man how hard is to press a perfect record? This past year has also been the worst regarding warps for me.

@highqualityrecords Totally agree. A lot of the time I’m finding one side being perfectly on center, and the other being off, which means the plates are not being aligned properly. It could be machine calibration, but based on the warps too, everything points to rushed production.

I had a streak earlier this year where I was getting a ton of really badly off-centered stuff - like my headshell looked like it was swimming. Seems to have abated, but man. Still not as prevalent as pry warps on 180g but way irritating.

The demand for records and the delays from COVID have made the pressings this year worse than any other year in recent memory. Everything is rushed to try to keep up with demand. I’m not sure it will get better anytime soon either.
