Hate to say it, but those Woodsist presses are some of the lowest quality in my collection. Here’s hoping they tried something new with this run.

I know about the bad presses from Discogs and elsewhere, just trying my luck I guess. I do have more recent ones that are very good (last Woods, the two Bonny Doon albums).

But, is it just the presses I wonder? Could it be that they're pretty lofi recordings, I mean there's some tape hiss on streaming versions. I don't know, clutching to straws maybe...

I bought this along with Harlem River from Woodsist a while back and they are AWFUL pressings. Warped, off center, sound like hot garbage. I emailed them with my concerns (phrased more pleasantly) and was basically written off and told they weren't like that before I got them. Okay... sure. I've avoided them since and will continue to do so.

@sjaygray my experience was more or less identical. Hard pass until I hear of improved QC.

@espendo agreed that the most recent Woods release is solid in terms of quality.
