but a few...I had to relisten to some of them as I had forgotten all about them while trying to construct my AOTY list and I'm sure I'm forgetting others...

I was thinking of pulling that Andy Shauf out, he came up in a Youtube rabbit hole. Such a good laid back vibe on that one. The Bonny Light Horseman has continued to stay around for me.

Oingo Boingo's Nothing to Fear and Sparks' A Steady Drip, Drip, Drip.

Secret Sisters for sure. And to a lesser extent Katie Pruitt. I have listened to that one a lot even though it came out in February.

Albums from the first couple months almost always tend to go by the wayside by the time album list time rolls around, but doubly so this year.

Back in February, I went to the record release show for the debut album from Stella and the Very Messed (new group featuring 1/2 of Cruiserweight). I loved that album, but it feels like it actually came out years ago at this point.

@Hollywood Caroline Rose too! that was the last show I went to, I think it was March 7th. It was a blast.

@Matt M that Andy Shauf grew on me a lot. I still like his other albums better but I throw that one on occasionally still. He's also really good live. i think he's the last live show I went to before venues started shutting down.

I think the only reason Caroline Rose doesn't feel "old" to me is I kept playing it a lot even after shut down. Love that record.

Though, this record is a perfect example of those that probably got really hurt through this. The extra exposure through live shows could have really been beneficial for getting it heard. Instead, I suspect a lot of momentum was lost.

@MikeH I'd never spent time with him previously, and haven't went backward yet. Guess I still need to.

My last one before the shutdown was Colin Hay. Fantastic show.

@Turbo yup I recall her saying that every show on that tour was sold out. When I saw artists canceling stuff I thought it must be great to be someone who had nothing new planned this year.

Yeah I forgot about that Soccer Mommy album completely. Haven’t listened to it much I guess.
