Fictional retelling of the story of abolishionist John Brown based on a book of the same name which won the The National Book Award for Fiction in 2013. Very very funny, beautifully shot and starring Ethan Hawke who blows the roof off of every scene. He also co wrote. It's basically a Western/dark comedy, 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.

All the acting has been quite good but Ethan just chews up the scene anytime he is on screen with his over the top messianic portrayal.
