You did it! Congrats! My leaderboard name is the same as my insta one, add me! Soon enough we'll have enough Groovers to warrant making our own hashtag
@Heath it won't arrive until Nov 25 but will do! I'm also tvham @nolalady I'll definitely dip my toes in that thread now that I'm exercising again. Pre covid I would spin 2-3 times a week but since March I've turned into a couch potato.
I want a Peloton. Are they worth it? I am a very visual person so I was thinking of getting a Peloton so it could seem like I'm biking on a road as opposed to actually exercising.
@Twentytwo I haven't ridden one yet so will let @Heath answer for you but I think it's just classes, not biking through roads like some other bikes (NordicTrack maybe?) do. Or maybe they have that option??
They do have rides like "30 minute French countryside" or "60 minute San Francisco ride"...basically a GoPro type video of someone doing a ride in that place. I've only done a couple of them because I prefer the more structured stuff and like having an instructor to tell me how hard I should be working. A lot of the appeal is in their instructor-led classes, though...they've got a good mix of coaching styles.
Also there's a 30-day return policy, so if you end up getting one, I'd try to schedule the purchase/delivery when you have the time to actually do a lot of rides in the first month. That way you can get a sense of whether it's worth it while there's still time for them to come pick it up and give you your money back!
And I'm already monopolizing these comments, so why not throw another out there...if you do get one, use someone's referral code so you can get a bit of a discount (and they get a credit to use in the apparel store)!
