What was the quality on the previous ones? I'm eyeing the 4LP version ATM. Is it worth going for the full deluxe set? Or should I just go for the simple reissue? I can't decide.

These new reissues have been nice. The deluxe vinyl look amazing. I can’t justify the spend or shelf space for something I know will get so little playback. I have been getting the deluxe cd boxes because I can’t help myself.

@Lee Newman So you just get the album reissue on vinyl? Glad to hear they sound nice. I'm not super happy with my SOTT 2017 reissue so I'm hoping this is an upgrade in sound. The basic album would be enough, but the small box with 4 Lp's looks interesting too....

I didn’t get 1999 because I was happy with the recent Rhino. I have an OG Purple Rain and @Tyr convinced me to get the reissue because of the remaster and he was right. I’ve seen the usual kind of bitching you see for most issues and plenty of stellar reviews as well. Someone here has the deluxe 99, @MikeH maybe?

But I have the Peach on order for SOTT and all of the other reissues (Rainbow Children, Emancipation) and Originals and The piano 84 deluxe. The ONLY one that I don’t LOVE is the Versace Experience and that isn’t the pressing but a shitty master.

I'm pretty much waffling between the peach and the 4lp at this point. But I just heard his "I Need A Man" on streaming today and that's only on the massive deluxe box and it got me curious... that track is amazing.

All of the prerelease singles have been amazing and I kind of regret not going for a more suped up version.

I ordered the peach 2 LP reissue, and the super deluxe CD set. I couldn’t see myself spinning the extras on vinyl, but would listen in my car.
