Also if you believe all of the comments were just comments voicing disagreement I am not sure I can trust to be treated fairly. There were some directly aimed at me and the continuation of some things in line with those comments was not cool. If it was just the latter it would have been fine but in context it was not.

I just said it was fine to put it in your profile post. I’m confused. I also gave other specific suggestions. The info you shared may have been bigger to you but that is your opinion. I cannot promise you won’t have disagreements anywhere on this forum. I also can’t promise people's feelings won’t be hurt.

Enoch, then report those comments. It forces more eyes on it. I’m nowhere near perfect so if something really bothered you, report it.

All we're asking is to keep a conversation in one place, as @mcherry said, you can post about VMP in the VMP threads or your profile post. In my opinion, the people most interested in what you had to share would have been where you started the conversation. On your profile.........it's no longer just those who are truly interested in your findings, insight and so on.

I mean, I don't really know what was said or exactly what transpired. but I have cross-pollinated thoughts over multiple threads and my status on here before and I'm sure I'll do it again... I don't see why @Enoch or anyone should be made to feel like a pariah for posting about VMP on their status or multiple threads.

@mcherry it was my opinion as I said I am going to post things that make the most logical sense to me but if you can't see what comments weren't appropriate then I have nothing more to say and will take that into account on my willingness to participate here.

@AnthonyI your response is very troubling to me and if that is going to be the attitude of admins then that needs to be communicated to the forum at large. If that is going to be the case I am not sure this is the place for me.

I’ll go further than Anthony. If it was a related topic to any thread on this forum, then it would’ve been fine to post in it. I don’t want people to be afraid to share VMP related info in non VMP threads or on their profiles. This particular bit of info hits a more sensitive nerve, though, and criticism was bound to happen, even in VMP threads.

I'm not sure I understand what was so troubling about my comment? You mentioned to @mcherry " the most logical sense to me ". I'm simply replying with my opinion of what would be more logical. We can disagree about that, but again, I'm not completely sure what was troubling?

You’re not even giving us a chance by pointing out the particular comments that were troubling to you. I’m not a mind reader and you can’t expect us to be. We may have different ideas about respectful dialogue but if you engage, we will hear you out. The report function serves a purpose. To point out things that aren’t clear to us, to point out what we miss, to argue your opinion of how this offends you. Or pm us.

@AnthonyI you being an admin and making that comment has a bigger impact than non-admin, non-mod making that statement. You are in a position of power so that immediately gives the things you say the appearance of more power. You are going to have to keep that in mind, people (not all, maybe few) will view your comments differently.

I would still like to know what was troubling and whatever that troubling comment was would be viewed differently because I'm an Admin. I get your point about comments coming from Admins, but I'm still trying to understand what I said that has caused you to be concerned.

All I am asking for is clear guidance on what and where I can post certain things. That status post is gone, I would like to move past it. I am not one to report people, in fact, in my few years as a forumite I never have. I get why it exists and maybe I should have. But outside of the guidance, I am not really interested in continuing the conversation on other lines.

Well, hold on a sec. You told me that I'm making troubling remarks. I truly need to know what those remarks were. Maybe I did phrase something incorrectly, or the wrong message came across. How can I understand if you can't tell me what was troubling. Myself and all the Admins and mods are human, just like you, and we can't be better if we need to guess what the problem is.
