Backspace is actually a keyboard shortcut to go back a page for some browsers. I have done it myself using Chrome and disabled backspace. Google disabled it in Chrome 52 as default, but it still exists in other browsers or Chromium browsers like Vivaldi. It's not a bug with the forum, but rather a feature of the browser.

It shouldn't bring you back a page if the cursor is active in the text box. However, if it is, look into disabled that setting in Chrome. It's a setting that can be enabled or disabled in the desktop browser. Does the mobile version of Chrome give you access to adjust settings like that? I don't know and can't test as I have a iPhone.
Hitting "Enter" on mobile does the same.
