They've been surprisingly better during the pandemic but they still liked to play awful acoustic dave matthews covers while loudly watching Jeopardy! at the same time....

We moved last fall to get away from terrible neighbours and just found out our current, amazing neighbours are moving out. Terrified the new ones will be awful again.

I'm concerned I might be this neighbor.

Our upstairs neighbor (we call him Mr. Clompy) sounds like he is wearing clogs or something above us all the time. He also just blasts jam band/classic rock music at all hours of the night. Luckily, we can't hear it from our bedroom but if we're trying to watch TV it's annoying. He was gone for the first 2 months of pandemic and I think it helped keep us sane.

@BjorgenFjorgen i also thought of that. The new people could be worse, but the majority of my neighbors in our complex are dead quiet and don’t bother anyone. I’m hoping the new people are like that.

With our neighbor it got to the point where we considered buying him a large area rug and just leaving it in front of his door, but say it was from one of our other neighbors instead of us haha

Im the upstairs neighbor who is incredibly conscious about our downstairs neighbor. To the point where I walk on my tip toes to make sure I’m not stomping! And all music and loud tv noise is off by 10PM. 😂😂😂

I was so happy when my upstairs neighbor who I could hear walk around in heels every day moved out. But now the new neighbors must be big klutzes as they seem to drop heavy things on the floor constantly.

Our solution to the noisy upstairs neighbour problem was to move to the top floor of our new place ;)
