@TenderLovingKiller® I don't usually play this card, but it's probably an age thing. Their sound is ear candy to a certain subset of people who grew up in the late 2000s and early 2010s, and there's a magic to it that's really hard to put into words.

Also I'm excited to hear the whole album! Waiting for my vinyl to arrive to hear all of it, it already shipped so hoping it lands sooner than later

@gaporter I think it is impossible to offend me. I have a healthy ego. I need to be taken down a peg or two on the regular lest my head get too big. I get what you are saying. There are lots of things that came before and after me that are out of my wheelhouse I appreciate everyone on here that helps keep me in the loop.

FWIW, as another old at 33, I don't totally get them either. I don't totally understand it but it is fascinating and appealing to me, especially in small doses. I don't really want to spin the vinyl though, if you know what I mean. I definitely respect what they're doing, but my brain is like stuck more in fascination and awe than pure enjoyment. Money machine is great and hilarious at the least.

Also hell yeah to small pickups. I think it's dumb that they are all huge luxury cars now.

I think it’s the voice modulation that gets me...maybe? I can appreciate the humor behind and could laugh at it if I came across a music video on the internet but Yeah, musically we don’t jive. After our convo yesterday regarding DG I think @gaporter probably thinks I dislike all they hold sacred. I have reviewed you Discogs Gap, we have plenty in common, I promise!

@TenderLovingKiller® haha believe me I know groups like DG and gecs aren't for everyone, I dont take people disliking an artist I love personally, as long as theyre not jerks about it. Itd be boring if everyone liked the same things! Im just glad peeps are willing to discuss things rather than just say "this is bad" and leave it at that. Its one of the reasons I prefer the forum to twitter lol
