All copies of London Calling are 2 LP Nathan. It’s a double. Regardless you can’t go wrong with it. It won best album of the 1980s in Rolling Stone, even though it was released in 1979 in the UK
So that’s roughly €23 and €40 converted. They’re €27 and €35 here respectively. As far as I’m aware it’s the same master (there was no mention of a remaster anywhere in the 2019), it’s just fancier artwork. Also as @Murfocakes said it’s always been a double album, it’s 19 tracks long!
Hahaha! Get whichever you want, I got the newer one because it liked how it looked but I just wanted you to have the full facts and know that the wax is more than likely identical sounding before you commit money.
Yeah it sure is the best album of the 80s that was released in the 70s....
It’s not too bad @djdavedk ! For a magnificent reissue 2LP pressing, that’s a pretty here in Australia! Prices are always higher here in Australia. Single LP MoFi’s retail for AUD$70 and AUD$100! That’s the cheapest! Most stores retail 2LP MoFi’s for AUD$125 and single LP’s for $AUD$85! So yeah.....
Yeah you have, a bit like the Canadians, a slightly devalued currency so the numbers seem high but, when I did the calculations, the price is only a little above our prices in Europe.
I have that 2019 reissue, it sounds great, it wasn't nearly $70 up here though, I think I paid 40. But anyhow, it's good. Another GREAT sounding reissue in that same vein is The Specials self titled half speed remaster, sounds incredible.
I love the album so much and know I think it’s great value to have such a high quality 2LP pressing of it for AUD$70!
