At first listen, not as good as I Had A Dream You Were Mine

Yeah, I'll give it a less passive listen again at some point. I wasn't hooked by anything the first time through. The new Laura Marling is great though!

I think the main problem with the album is the production. Last album was produced by Rostam which is a far better producer imo

I've loved everything he has done, but it is just falling completely flat for me. Hopefully the songs will sound better live.

Didn’t Hamilton pretty much do everything himself?

Yes produced, recorded and mixed in his home studio

I like it... it’s different from Black Hours and I Had A Dream, not necessarily better, but I dig it!

I like it but I'm not sure I like it enough to buy it on vinyl

Much better the second time around! I was listening at low volume early this morning, trying not to wake the fam. It's not quite up to par with his earlier work, but still solid.
