I don't know boys. The standard 2LP black version is $32 on Amazon.ca; the fancy 3LP ones from The National and VMP look pretty and I'd spin that bonus disc once, but...

Oh there is ZERO chance I buy this. IF it shows up in swaps (it won't because National fans are crazy) then I would grab it. But GZ? For that price? No way dude.

Also from here $60 is getting painfully close to €60 in these freaky times so €34 + €27 shipping and at least the money is going to the artist...

The swirl version says "standard edition" on their website, too, so I wouldn't be surprised if it shows up in stores normally.

I just went thru and checked with shipping. $88 CAD for the STANDARD. So I would imagine for Canadian retailers we MAYBE get this at $75 before taxes...

That's bonkers. I've spent even close to that for a single album once in my life and it was a Dylan MoFi. For a GZ that would be laughable.

I considered it, then decided I’m good with the standard version I already own and saved the cash. For like two minutes until I ordered a couple MoFi because I have zero self-control.

A @Mather Lather is something one either tries to avoid or charges in cash for. I haven’t decided which.

I think the fact that I bought 2 mofis and 2 ap’s this morning made passing on this and sticking with the standard much easier a decision too @Corycm

@Corycm I've found when it comes to MatherLather it's best to take it on a case by case basis, lest anyone be offended.

I was looking at some records in the VMP store today and was shocked by some of the pricing. $40 for Camp-Lo, $40, for T.I.... I was thinking of maybe dipping back in for Otis, but nah, I'm good.

Yeah they jacked the prices while you've been away. There are still deals to be had (see 10 LP Woodstock Box set for $23 in swaps this month) but the regular pricing is silly on many items.

I wish I’d have gotten in on the Woodstock action. I still wonder if that was an accident or they were just unloading inventory.
