Yeah the pick is fine , but it’s safe. It’s also not doing anyone a favor in that it’s cheap and available right now. I’m not even sure hardcore Phoenix heads would see this as necessary. Maybe if this album was never on vinyl it would’ve been more exciting.
Seems to me it didn't NEED a repress, but I still find it a great pick regardless. And I have been uninterested in anything since Queen, so it made me happy. I get that this flavor of indie pop isn't for everyone, but this is one of my favorite albums in that sphere and I've kind of been quietly waiting for a cool variant of it for some time now. Checked all my boxes!
Yea even if I was still a fan of VMP I wouldnt be grabbing this since I already own a copy of it. That being said I own a copy of it for a reason, and that's because it's a great album.
I would definitely be more excited about the pick had I not bought the album during the Vinyltines sale which I might add ended up costing me a shit load of money due to Customs charges
@sjaygray we still need more details on the hurry up to close the forum. So odd. I’m sure there are at least a handful of reasons, this could potentially be one of them. Maybe they didn’t need a website connected to them with amazon links to the “vanilla” version at almosthalf the price of a vmp month
