It shouldn’t have a completely awkward phase - should be a “good to polished” transition. A lot of people don’t really even notice it, so if it sounds like garbage right away, chances are the mounting/alignment wasn’t done correctly. If you notice it sounding way off, don’t wait, check your mount/alignment/vta to prevent damage.

If you don’t get it on the first shot, don’t sweat it. Just be careful and don’t force anything. Redo it until it’s right.

@Corycm I plan to download a protractor from vinyl engine. Scale I do not have though I may get one eventually
