Glad to hear some got a decent copy of the Coltrane. They sent me three copies and each one was badly warped with non fill rips and blips scattered throughout both sides. They refunded me in the end so the CS was good, but not one of those copies is playable.

Yeahhhhh I just streamed all of the albums before ordering the set and really wish Shades of Brown wasn’t there. I’m hoping the sound on the vinyl is so good that it makes it worth listening to, but based on comments here I am guessing that isn’t the case. The rest of the albums are fantastic...

I was able to grab 4 of the records from the Stax Anthology from a recent throwback Thursday. So far I’ve listened to Johnny Taylor- Raw Blues and Booker T & the MG’s- Soul Dressing. Raw Blues is a good album for sure but the recording isn’t that great.
