Yeah, with Barter 6 being $600+ on cogs, I can't imagine someone in his camp hasn't suggested it. Not sure why they wouldn't do it.
Storf in discord claims the label has no plans to press them again. Take that however you wish.
You have to assume that even if the VMP pressings are done after this that his camp/label are going to press his catalog like wildfire once they see these sales numbers.
That said, I'll probably FOMO my way into all four VMP releases because I'm a sucker.
I don't even bother trying on TBT's unless it's something I really regret passing on, which is few and far between.
They should just raffle things off randomly to people that have things on their waitlist.
Agreed. I'm just wondering if they're flexing the RKS mastering because there is a lack of details available for the 33. You'd also think that if the 33 is RKS that they'd advertise that in some fashion.
The first thing they have in the short description after "VMP-exclusive edition" is, "mastered for vinyl by Ryan K. Smith". Either they are exploiting the lack of pressing details of the 33, or the 45 is the only RKS cut.
I understand 45 should technically sound better, but enough to warrant...
Thanks for the input!
I feel pretty confident the anti-skate was just too strong. Spun a record last night and it sounded good, even though the MP200 needs about 30 hours to break in. I'll note/update if the needle starts to bend in any direction.
I just tested the MP200 on the hudson hi-fi aligner, the opposite side is straight vinyl, zero grooves. The alignment also looks good from what I can tell.
It was pulling to the outside almost instantly on the 3 anti-skate setting. I've adjusted down and it's at about a 1.5'ish and it's no...
Hi friends,
On my first cartridges needle I had ever owned a few years back, I noticed that when looking at it head on, that it was starting to bend towards the inside of the record platter. It was the default cart that came with the AT-LP120 and I used it for a bit (maybe 2'ish years) and...
I reached out over a month ago about a seam split and heard nothing back.
Probably won't be ordering much from them in the future unless something really crazy drops.
Vinyl makes me do weird things. Like considering buying a print of a photo for $400 dollars.
The cheaper print/poster is probably the move.
I'm curious if either comes with any paperwork of any kind? I don't see it mentioned anywhere. It would be a bummer to try to prove this was "limited"...
I got a seam split copy in November of Dre. Putting in a support request to see if they can give me a replacement. Doubt it at this point but I'd take any partial refund.
