I’ve never felt the need to “upgrade” the 50th, but haven’t heard the others. For the price, the 50th is excellent. I also prefer 33 over 45 though generally.

Clarity vinyl is fine. I don’t go out of my way to buy it really though. Not everything on that high fidelity site is great though. It’s all a mixed bag. It’s just a record store that sells tons of stuff.

That one is excellent. Classic records tends to have nice reissues although they did have some misses and quality control in their later years.

this is not true. if it’s a preorder that has gone past the preorder date and VMP is not responding to your emails, many cards will still process chargebacks. People have even been reporting successful chargebacks on remainders of subscriptions given that VMP didnt mail them anything out last month.

Well, they are organized by artist....but file formats as well hah. One day, I might go back and reorganize it to be sorted by artist.

I don't technically need to....but the OCD side of me will want to reorganize it. Right now I have subfolders for DSD, FLAC and MP3 to keep things easily organized...I'd probably want to move the DSD to the new drive completely as I've been amassing a lot of DSD files...

hmm but will all my metadata changes be lost if i move all my DSD files from the NUC to an external drive?

yea--you control the licensing, you control everything. not shocked that a sub that has to rely on licensing titles from other labels has to keep raising prices and eventually went under (although that seems mostly due to mismanagement). VMP was just a case study for most of these huge labels...

VMP did not own the plant. cam and the other c-suite guys owned it along with Gary, david and whoever else was a business partner. It’s likely that cam and co got forced out by Gary and david and the plant board.
