    The Blue Note Thread

That's the rumor. I think it was confirmed over at the Hoffman boards, but I know some that were available to preorder aren't gonna happen (like Boston and ELO)

    The Blue Note Thread

Yeah, The Real McCoy is starting on the US Amazon site for $24.99 preorder already, same as the BN80s before discount. Some of the BN80s had poly-lined sleeves at least, hopefully they go the message that no one wants those super tight paper-only sleeves.

    Vinyl Me Please Anthology

Plangent was only used for the newest Rhino reissues I believe, not for the VMP Anthology. I'm no engineer, I assume he just listens to the originals right before mastering them to get a fresh audio image in his mind of how it should sound.

    Vinyl Me Please Anthology

To be fair that was 9 years ago already. I don't know if they are reusing any of the lacquers for the Herbie Anthology, but if not that would mean that Kevin Gray has cut Maiden Voyage twice this year plus once for the MMJ in 2015, and another time for Analogue Productions in 2010. Pretty crazy...

https://magazine.vinylmeplease.com/magazine/grateful-dead-vmp-anthology/ "We then sent the tapes to Bernie Grundman mastering, where Chris Bellman cut new lacquers for this project"

    Vinyl Me Please Anthology

So were all of the early Dead albums. They explicitly say these are all new lacquers cut for the Dead Anthology and I don't doubt them.

    Vinyl Me Please Anthology

After they release the Maiden Voyage BN Classic you can do pretty well for yourself at getting Herbie AAA reissues for under $35 USD each: Takin' Off (BN 80) My Point of View (Tone Poet) Inventions & Dimensions (BN80) Maiden Voyage (BN Classic) The Prisoner (Tone Poet) Crossings (Speakers...

    Vinyl Me Please Classics

I know we were discussing this album back in the Albert King debates, but the Speakers Corner pressing of Born Under a Bad Sign (all analog) appears to be in stock at Acoustic Sounds: https://store.acousticsounds.com/d/131094/Albert_King-Born_Under_A_Bad_Sign-180_Gram_Vinyl_Record

    Vinyl Me Please Essentials

I think the expanded edition is digital only. The VMP vinyl edition isn't getting a wide release I don't think.

Seconded. I just got that one this weekend from AP and it is a wonderful album and the SQ is top notch.

    Vinyl Me Please Classics

Yeah, kinda an unnecessary release since SC just put this out less than a year ago, though that one technically isn't a US release and can be hard to find nowadays at non-inflated prices anymore. The stoughton tip-on jacket is an upgrade over the thinner jackets SC uses though.

    Vinyl Me Please Classics

It's almost certainly pressed at QRP like the other AAA Classics they've been doing are. That seems to be the standard for Classics nowadays (AAA/QRP/RKS@Sterling)

Storf is definitely not for everyone. I don't mind him but I can see people being rubbed the wrong way. I'm sticking for as long as I can since I haven't had any of the CS or shipping problems a lot of people have had (knock on wood) and I thoroughly enjoy their product and curation —...

Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

Yeah, VMP commissioned Ryan Smith to cut their reissue AAA from the original master tapes. No one is sure where the one LITA is selling was mastered from.
