So excited about the VMP Philly box showing up next week (finally!) that I busted out the Stax box in anticipation. Giving this one a spin now for the first time in awhile, and it's as groovy as the cover.

Weird! I randomly gave this a spin today too (same reissue), after finally bringing all my records in from my garage last weekend. Forgot how great this one is.

One of my all-time fave bands. Saw them at least 20+ times back in the day, as I lived in LA during their time together, and would see them every chance I got. Got to meet d. boon once, at a cafe after a show of theirs at McCabe's Guitar Shop in Santa Monica. He was so incredibly nice. R.I.P.

Nice! My daughter's soon-to-be father-in-law was at that race this morning too.....while I was sitting on my ass playing records!
