I tend to agree ohm loading is fairly subtle. That's also why I don't get to wrapped around the axle with SUT and trying to nail a perfect ratio. It's all subtle changes. I think your ears are probably fine.

I think it's just glue from the mfg. Wipe them up lightly and rock out. Do they show Made in US on the back? Maybe real wood too?

My first pair of balanced cables. The Neutrik connectors are really nice and I like supporting these guys. Whether XLR offers SQ improvement is debatable. The connections are very substantial and robust. It's worth the small premium.

If you need XLR, the BJC are really nice.

Craft is putting out their latest remaster files after each reissue is cut. They are just not giving the mastering engineers credit. I have no idea how BG is getting credit but KG doesn't. Maybe Kevin is not filling out the forms properly 🤷‍♂️ You can see WFD matches the same time as the vinyl...
